Herlin & Lee Ann say "I DO"

I was honored to photograph Herlin and Lee Ann's wedding last night at the Maitland Arts Center. They are not only a beautiful couple on the outside, but a couple who's love for each other is so special. They wrote their own vows and Lee Ann's son walked her down the aisle. It started off yesterday afternoon misting rain, which is not the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. Thankfully the rain managed to hold off until after the ceremony! Lee Ann and her family did all of the decorations, details, and set up themselves. Her sister made the bridal bouquets and they all made the arrangements and awesome details at the reception. The ceremony was right at dusk outside in the courtyard with gorgeous white candles everywhere. Afterwards, everyone headed over to the reception at the Winter Park Farmer's Market, where a little bit of rain wasn't going to put a damper on this party! Thank you Herlin & Lee Ann for allowing me to be a part of your most special day. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness and Congratulations!!!

Here are just a few of my favorites as I'm just starting to go through them. My dear friend Lori Barbely, who is an amazing wedding photographer and who's work I admire so much, second shot with me and I can't thank her enough for her help.

Photography Workshop

This workshop has been truly an amazing experience for me. Much more than I ever expected. My head is still spinning trying to process all of the info I have been given and things I have learned. We shot yesterday afternoon on the streets of downtown Orlando with some local children who's parents were kind enough to bring them down. Here are just a few I processed last night. How cute are they??!

Happy 2008!

Wow, I can't believe another year has come and gone. Dang, I feel old. I've learned so much this past year, it's mind boggling. I made a few mistakes along the way, but they only made me grow and learn that much more. I try not to make New Year's resolutions, mainly because I never keep them! LOL! What I do like to do is make a To-Do List for the new year. So here is a few of the things that are on my list for 2008:
  1. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise (and not just say I'm going to)
  2. Go green
  3. Travel somewhere I've never been before
  4. Streamline my post-processing and make it faster and more efficient
  5. Photograph somewhere I have never photographed before
  6. Find an awesome shooting location with beautiful scenery and textures
  7. Photograph along with someone I admire
  8. Get an iPhone :-)
  9. Spend less time surfing the internet
  10. Contact an old friend that I haven't talked to a long time
  11. Clean out my closets (really toss stuff out, not just one or two items)
  12. To get caught up on all the stuff recorded on my DVR
  13. To learn its ok to say No and not take on more than I can do
  14. See some Fall leaves (since I got screwed this year)
  15. Have a white Christmas (somewhere other than here. I hate Christmas here)
  16. Have my gallery opening at Infusion Tea in College Park
  17. To continue to grow and develop my knowledge in photography and be the best that I can be!
  18. To meet the love of my life (for the 2nd time since the first one didn't work out as planned)
I hope this new year brings you everything that you desire and deserve. May it be a healthy and happy year for us all!
